I’m Sarah. 48 years old, British, living in Italy for the past 24 years. I love photographing weddings, and brides in particular. I love making women look gorgeous in photos. I guarantee you will love how you look in your pictures.
Why should you choose me as your wedding photographer and will we get along?
I love what I do. This will be evident on the day of your wedding. I’m relaxed, and will never make you feel awkward. If you want beautiful creative pictures, I know how to position you so you look the best you have ever looked. I know the best angles, the light that will give you flawless skin, the way to stand that will lengthen your body and nip in your waist.
If you prefer candid, documentary style photography, I capture precious moments, some of which you didn’t even realise were happening at the time, moments you will never get back and will look at again and again in years to come. I’m not intrusive; I will do what I have to do to capture the moment and get the shot, but never at the expense of the intimacy and emotion of your moment, your day.
I usually work alone, but sometimes I’ll bring along an assistant who won’t get in the way. I also work on request with a second photographer to provide you with a greater range of images and perspectives.
So what’s my wedding photography style? I’d describe it as a fusion of contemporary editorial (think wedding magazine) and documentary. The majority of images will be documentary, with a selection of directed couples shots (directed, not “posed”) that I guarantee you’ll want to hang on your wall, and beautiful magazine style shots of all the details of the wedding you have spent so long planning and preparing. I especially love shooting bridal portraits: this is the day you will be looking your absolute best, with professional hair, make-up and nails, a four (or more!) figure dress that you’ll wear only once. If you give me some time on your wedding day, I would love to capture you looking like a million dollars using professional lighting and photography techniques. I promise you won’t feel stupid and you will be ecstatic with the results. I am also a beauty and portrait photographer (you can see my work here: http://sarahferrara.com), and invariably some of my techniques in this field creep into my wedding photography.
I’m a digital photographer, so I’m happy to provide you with the best digital files from the day, and I’m not mean with them: you’ll get them in high resolution, edited, and in web format with a small watermark for publishing on social media. Images selected for your album or any printed products will be retouched to magazine standards (with such expertise that no-one will know).
Included in every package is a photo book of some kind: I insist that you see your pictures printed to the quality they deserve. The essential package includes a professionally printed hard cover/eco-leather wedding book, and you can upgrade to the largest, most luxurious Italian hand-made wedding books from Graphistudio if you wish.
When it comes to price, I’m flexible. I give special prices for smaller and/or shorter weddings and week-day weddings, and once you have booked me and confirmed the date, I won’t back out for any reason (such as another couple coming along wanting a more expensive package on the same day).
I think it’s important that we feel comfortable with each other, so I always suggest we meet or have a chat via Skype to get to know each other before either of us commit to anything. I’ll be at your side for much of the most important day of your life: we have to be a good fit for each other.
So contact me today; I’d love to chat about your wedding day and discuss the best photography options for you. No pressure, no stress.
